Most Common Mistakes Sellers Do On Fiverr

Fiverr has become insanely popular during the last couple of years and tons of sellers from different parts of the world have joined Fiverr. But most of these sellers don’t have much knowledge about how Fiverr works. Fiverr is a freelancing platform where people can sell their services such as graphic designs, web design, and development, copyrighting services, software development, and so on to buyers from around the world. Fiverr takes 20% from all the orders that a seller does as a commission. Here I have mentioned some common mistakes that Fiverr sellers do,

 1. Not Setting up the profile completely

Most sellers that come to sell on Fiverr want to sell their services and make money. But almost 90% of sellers can't get even their first order. The main reason for that is they haven't completed their profile completely. If you want to sell on Fiverr you have to put more effort to introduce yourself and about your services and how customers are going to benefit from you. So put that extra effort to grab the attention of clients. Make your profile professional and appealing. Trust me Fiverr algorithm has become smarter than ever before. If you have an incomplete profile then you are not going to get the exposure you deserve on Fiverr. Because Fiverr doesn't want to promote something that is incomplete rather it would give it to better performing gig. So always make sure that you have a complete and professional Fiverr profile.

2. Trying to sell too many services

If you are trying to sell your service on Fiverr you must have a clear idea of what you are going to sell and you should pitch it to customers in a correct manner. When you try to sell too many things it makes you unprofessional and creates doubt in buyers' minds if you are truly qualified to do their job. So stop confusing your buyer rather than make them understand you and your services. If you confuse your customers that come to your gig page they may end up leaving the gig page which means you lost an order. Always be specific and clear about what you are going to offer and prove to buyers that you are an expert in what you are doing.

3. Under Pricing Services

Most sellers on Fiverr think that if they reduce the pricing they may end up getting a lot of orders. However, this doesn't work most of the time because Fiverr always wants to promote those services in which they can get more commission. So when you underprice Fiverr algorithm doesn't give you the exposure you deserve. So always make sure you determine your pricing precisely and prove to the buyer why you are worth the price you have mentioned in the packages.

Next thing when you understand the value of your service you may end up getting scam orders. On Fiverr, there are a lot of scam buyers. They are just looking for cheap services and place their order to do their job and after the job is completed they just cancel the order. This will affect to your order completion rate and you may end up leaving your freelancing career. So don’t give that room to the scammers all you have to do is determine the right value for your service.

4. Lack Of Knowledge About Fiverr Policies

Fiverr new sellers never go through Fiverr policies but trust me if you want to survive on Fiverr and want to have a long-term freelancing career then you must go through the Fiverr policies and make sure you don’t violate them. If you violate Fiverr policies Fiverr will terminate your account permanently. Fiverr doesn't care how many orders you have completed or even if you are a top-rated seller they will just remove your account. So make sure you go through Fiverr policies before you enter Fiverr.
