Do you want to make money on Fiverr? Then you need to find a way to rank your gig at the top of the search results. Fiverr gig ranking is influenced by several factors. 50% of Fiverr gig ranking is affected by positive reviews, personal feedback, click-through rate, conversion rate, etc. and the other 50% depends on the SEO factor. So ranking on Fiverr takes time and effort. The gig position on Fiverr is not permanent, even when you achieve a good search rank on Fiverr it doesn’t mean that it is going to last long and stick at the same position forever. If you are just starting one Fiverr, then you must understand how to optimize your Fiverr gig and increase the chance of getting your very first order on Fiverr. In this article, I will guide you through how to SEO your Fiverr gig.
1. Find Your Primary Keyword
A lot of sellers come to Fiverr don't have any idea what they are going to sell on Fiverr. So your first priority should be to identify what you are going to sell on Fiverr.
- If you are a logo designer then your primary keyword is going to be logo design.
- If you're a flyer designer then your primary keyword is going to be flyer design
- If you are a web designer then your primary keyword is going to be web design
2. Find your secondary Keyword
After identifying your primary keyword, your next job is to find your secondary keyword. Finding a secondary keyword is not as hard as you would have imagined.
- If you are a logo designer, find out what kind of logos you are going to design as there are different types of logo designs. As a logo designer, you can design business logos, mascot logos, signature logos, business logos, etc. If you are going to design business logos then the business is your secondary keyword. If you are going to design mascot logos then mascot is your secondary keyword
- If you are a flyer designer, you can do different types of flyer designs such as business flyers, event flyers, party flyers, and church flyers. Likewise, if you are going to design a business flyer then your secondary keyword is business, if you are going to design an event flyer then the secondary keyword is going to be event.
- Similarly, if you are a web designer you can do WordPress web design, Wix web design, or elementor web design. In the same manner, if you are going to do wix web design then your secondary keyword is Wix or if you are going to do WordPress web design then your secondary keyword is WordPress.
- Modern event flyer design
- Creative event flyer design
- Awesome event flyer design.
4. Determine the market competition
- If the number of sellers are less than 5000 then the competition is low
- If the number of sellers are between 5000 - 10000 then the competition is medium
- If the number of sellers are over 10000 then the market competition is high.
5. Market demand determination
Once you identify the market competition then you must find out the market demand for your gig title. This is where most of the sellers fail as there is no proper way to find market demand on Fiverr. But don’t worry I have found an indirect way to find market demand for your gig title.
- Observe the first 20 gigs that come on Fiverr once you search your gig title. Then you would see the number of feedbacks they have received. You have to add all the feedback shown in the first 20 gigs.
- Find out if there are any top-rated sellers appearing for your gig title.
"If the number of top-rated sellers appearing is more than 3 then don’t try to rank your gig for that gig title. Try to change your gig title. If The number of top-rated sellers is less than 3 then check the following conditions"
- When you add the number of feedback in the first 20 gigs. If the sum is 250+ then the demand is high
- If the sum is between 100-250 then the demand is medium
- If the sum is less than 100 then the demand is less
6. Finalize your gig title
Now you have to find a title that has high market demand and less market competition. If you are able to find such a gig title then the chances of getting orders are really high.
7. Find out your tags
Once you have finalized your gig title next thing is to find out your tags for your gig. If you follow all the above steps then you can easily find out your tags. When we are making a gig we can add up to 5 tags. So the first tag should be your primary keyword, 2nd tag should be your secondary keyword, 3rd tag should be your addon keyword. This way you can make 3 tags. To make another two tags you have to try different combinations like you can add primary keyword + secondary keyword or you can add secondary keyword + addon keyword or you can add primary keyword + addon keyword. So use such a technique to find the remaining two tags.
Example: My gig title is “ Modern Event Flyer Design “
My primary keyword is Flyer Design
The secondary Keyword is Event
Addon Keyword is Modern
So my first 3 tags are Flyer Design, Event, and Modern.
To find out the remaining two tags: I add addon keyword + Flyer = Modern Flyer
Secondary Keyword + Flyer = Event flyer
This way I created all 5 tags. So you can also follow the same method to create your tags.
8. Gig description & Optimization
When you are writing your gig description, FAQS and Pricing make sure to mention your primary, secondary, and addon keywords as follows:
Mention the primary keyword - 4-5 times in your gig
Mention secondary and addon keywords 3-4 times in your gig
9. How can I know if my gigs are optimized?
Well, the answer is simple. First, you have to follow all the steps that I discuss earlier and then wait 4-5 days. Then go to gig analytics and see how many impressions you are getting a payday. If you are getting 20+ impressions per day for your new gig. Trust me you are on the right track. Analyze how many clicks you get if you don’t get clicks at all you have to change your gig image and see. If you get clicks but no orders then you have to change the pricing and see.
