Fiverr Bugs that confuse the sellers

Fiverr bugs that confuse the sellers

There are things on Fiverr that look weird or some sellers may often confused and think these things like bugs. Fiverr is one of the largest online service selling platforms where such things shouldn't be happening. Due to these strange things many new sellers often compel to do strange things and end up facing many problems with their accounts. These are the features I believe Fiverr could add as an online market place and make the platform more safe and effective place.

1. Weird Fiverr timer

Every Fiverr seller knows that the clock starts to count as soon as a buyer place an order. The timer would count down until the turn around time ends. When you deliver the order to a buyer the timer is no longer relevant. However, when someone requests a revision the timer would reappear again which looks weird. The timer is meaningless once the order is delivered. After you deliver the order on time, it shouldn't be counted as late even if the timer winds down to zero and displays late at the top of the page. It might look scary to you as a seller but don't be afraid of that clock when someone clicks for revision and it cannot be marked as a late order. There is something that you must keep in your mind that you should not deliver empty or partial order to the buyer with the aim of extending the deadline because it is totally against the Fiverr terms of services and may end up suspending your Fiverr account permanently.

2. Strange Fiverr resolution center

Fiverr resolution center was introduced to the Fiverr platform in order to help the sellers but still, it has many strange activities that often confuse the sellers. If you have submitted a request to a buyer to extend the timeline, you might have noticed it comes up as a dispute which is really weird. Even if your buyer asks you for an extension you have to do it through the Fiverr resolution center. Whatever you do through the Fiverr resolution center it marks as a dispute and you may receive a notification by saying someone has opened a dispute on your order. You should not worry about it because it is the way Fiverr resolution center classifies everything related to the resolution center. Even the resolution center uses the word dispute, you can let the client upfront there is no dispute but that is how Fiverr works so that buyer may not get a bad impression about you.

3. Strange Fiverr mobile app

Many sellers on Fiverr have faced this issue. When a customer sends an attachment it is not displaying on the Fiverr mobile app which may cause misunderstanding between the customer and the seller. In case a customer said to you that he has sent an attachment with the message and you are communicating through the Fiverr mobile app but it is not showing in your mobile app,  in such a situation, you must check it using your pc or laptop and make sure if you have received the attachment or not before replying to the client which may avoid unwanted confusion.

4. Fiverr mobile app Online feature

Fiverr mobile app has an online feature where you can turn it on and there would be a little green dot that appears with your profile picture but this doesn't keep you online on the platform. Many new sellers on Fiverr think that when they use the Fiverr mobile app, it would keep them online which is not true. Fiverr mobile app was developed to improve the interaction between the customer and the seller. So in order to stay online on Fiverr, you must open your Fiverr account on your laptop or pc using a web browser which will keep you online on Fiverr.

5. Crazy Fiverr revision button

Buyers on Fiverr can request revisions endlessly even though a seller doesn't provide unlimited revisions. There should be a limit that buyer can request as per the gig revisions that a seller offer in the gig description. I believe Fiverr could simply make a variable where a seller could designate how many revisions are included. if a seller says there are 4 rounds of edits and the buyer could only hit that button for 4 times. After that, it should say the included revisions are finished and you can't ask for any more revisions from the seller. Since Fiverr doesn't have such a feature. Many buyers often misuse the revision button and even lead to cancel the order. There is no difference between offering unlimited revisions and limited revisions because the buyer can ask for revisions endlessly in both cases. It is better to let the customer know how many revisions you offer upfront before taking the project.
